Instrument-making enterprise  "Rawenstvo" was found in 1952 by the Council of Ministers of the USSR for the equipping of navy ships. Over the years company made a long way through developing and producing several generations of radar systems, which have always been a basic part of Russian fleet ships equipment.

Nowadays, JSC "Rawenstvo" is one of the leaders in the development and production of the radioelectronic devices for Russian Naval Forces and Federal Security Service Customs.

The company produces:

• modern coastal radar stations with improved reliability and performance for ship traffic control systems that meet the requirements of IMO and the Register of the Russian Federation;
• medical facilities for cancer treatment such as "Rokus", various modifications of which have been delivering to clinics more than forty years

The latest product of JSC "Rawenstvo" is the compound signal radar "Obzor" developed on modern element base using new software and signal processing techniques.

Radar "Obzor" is designed for surface surveillance in the port and coastal areas, canals and other water bodies. High ecological purity at the expense of low-radiated power (100 watts) allows to place the radar in the immediate vicinity of the working people and premises.

"Obzor" provides:

• detection of surface and low-flying targets;
• fast (during a single turnover of antenna) selection of moving and stationary targets with the indication of the approaching and receding targets;
• manual or automatic target capture for tracking with elements of the movement definition;
• visual and automatic detection of targets crossing the border control areas and signal to prevent unauthorized access;
• display of target attributes;
• target coordinates or movement parameters transfer to the television system;
• radar data archiving.

Quality Management

ISO Certificate

Enterprise all the time gives particular consideration to the quality management matter. From 70-s to 90-s "Integrated quality management system" was successfully operating and as a result great experience in quality assurance was obtained.

In 1998 company started to develop new quality management system that was up to international standards ISO 9000. In 2002 as a result of 4-years work new system was created and certified by the Association of "Petrosert" in "Oboronsertifika" that meets the requirements of ISO 9001-96 and GOST RV 15.002-2000.

Next years the existing quality management system was modified to the requirements of the new version of ISO 9000 and was successfully certified in 2004 by the Association of "Petrosert" for compliance with the requirements of GOST ISO 9001-2001 and GOST RV 15.002-2003 for the development, production and service of military products and GOST R ISO 9001-2001 for design, production and service of civil products.

The company has the information center of products quality to provide managers authorized for standardization with methodological assistance on the matter of quality management system operation.

High scientific and technical potential of the company, availability and constant improvement of an effective quality management system allows JSC "Rawenstvo" to undertake difficult technical tasks of building high-tech military and civil products.

Chronology

• 1949 - Resolution of the USSR Council of Ministers on the transfer of the enterprise "Rawenstvo" to Ministry of Shipbuilding Industry.
• 1952 - "Rawenstvo" got into service. The beginning of making equipment for navy ships .
• 1953 - restoring the main production building, the beginning of the production process.
