Coastal radar with quasicontinuous radiation "Obzor"
New generation radar "Obzor" has unique technical and operational parameters
New technologies
New generation radar "Obzor" uses technology called "High-energy beam". This new technology of receiving signals has never been used before in navigation radars. High-energy beam is emission of low-power but long duration signals, as a result that makes energy of the reflected from the target signal higher. This technology allows to increase the search area and makes the search process of small targets easier using over 100 times less power than traditional magnetron radars.
Solid-state transceiver
"Obzor" has fully solid-state transceiver and lacks magnetron and high-voltage modulator. Output device is transistor amplifier. Transceiver designed for outdoor using and has no regulatory components.
Fully digital processing
All control and output transceiver signals are digital. Transceiver and computer are connected by Gb Ethernet. Main procedures for signals processing and formation are made in the computer.
Doppler selection
Doppler selection allows to separate moving targets from stationary targets and makes target observation better.
Range of application
- Coastal posts of Vessel Traffic Management System
- Protection of coastal sites
- Offshore platforms - providing navigation and safety
